Native Floridian Amy Martinelli has spent the last six years as a part of the University of Florida community. Originally from West Palm Beach, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2005 and recently completed her Master of Arts in Education, Social Foundations in 2007. She has taught with the Center for Written and Oral Communications as a Graduate Instructor and as Graduate Assistant for the UF Speech and Debate team. This is her first semester teaching in the University Writing Program.
Currently, Amy is an adjunct instructor for both the Center for Written and Oral Communication and the University Writing Program. She will present on a panel for Southern Education in the post Brown era in the History of Education Society’s annual Conference in late October. Amy teaches ENC 1101 for the University Writing Program as well as Introduction to Public Speaking and Introduction to Interpersonal Communications in the Center for Written and Oral Communication.
She enjoys research and teaching and hopes to always work with students to enhance their communications abilities. She enjoys interacting with her students in the classroom and is always on the lookout for the next great speech and debate competitor.
